Mr. Null, I'll just be able to make a brief statement because the time has run out for me at my end. I'm sorry. I would have enjoyed talking to you more. My concerns about the Warren Commission Report have been a matter of record. They're now going back some twenty-seven years. I believe I'm the only non-Government-affiliated forensic pathologist to have testified three times under oath in this matter before Federal District Court Judge Charles Hallock[sp] Jr. in Washington, D.C. in 1969, as a prelude to the Clay Shaw Trial in New Orleans, and before the Rockefeller Commission in 1975, and before the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978 as a dissenting member of the forensic pathology panel. On all three of those occassions, I have voiced numerous opinions, pointing out the deficiencies, the inconsistencies, the quandaries, the dilemmas, the unresolved problems, as well as the incredible areas of professional ineptitude and outright incompetence by the pathologists and by other forensic science and law enforcement investigators. The case cries out -- as David Lifton has put quite well -- for an independent review. David and dozens of knowledgeable, responsible critics (and I include myself amongst them) have been calling for this for many, many years. At this point in time, it really is mind-boggling. It is SO frustrating. It is so embittering, that the United States Government can continue to stonewall. WHATEVER anybody may think, we don't have to get to the ultimate question. We don't have to answer, right now: what did happen? Who did it? How many people were involved in the shooting? What was the nature and the extent of the conspiracy? Etcetera. Those, obviously, are the questions which we all want to have resolved. We're not doing this as an academic exercise. But, that's the game, you see, that the Warren Commission defenders and sycophants -- that whole self-appointed crew out there: David Dellin[sp] and [Senator] Arlen Specter and Dr. Lattimer and Blakey .... that's the game that they like to play. "Well, you tell me," they'll say to Lifton or Livingstone or Groden or Wecht or Lane or Thompson or Sylvia Mahr[sp] (when she was alive) or Harold Weisberg .... the game they love to play is: "Well you tell me the scenario!" MY response to that is: "DON'T TELL ME TO GIVE YOU THE SCENARIO! I DID NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE CAR from the time that it first arrived at Parkland Hospital, when they had already started to clean it up. And then, when the cleaning up continued, I DIDN'T CONTROL the forensic science investigation of the car to see if there were bullets and bullet fragments! I DIDN'T HAVE CONTROL of the body and the stretcher! Where did that "stretcher bullet" come from? I didn't have control of the autopsy! We have had reports from MANY people about a bullet, or at least a large bullet fragment being recovered on the night of the autopsy. And then all of the other things that so many people have pointed out. So, what I say is, we take it step-by-step. And I believe that the way to do that is to begin by disclosing all the records, all the investigative reports, all the data. That doesn't mean to publish it in The Star or The National Enquirer or even on the pages of The New York Times or The Washington Post. What it means is to make these things available to appropriate, legitimate inquiries and reviewers, analysts, etcetera -- to get it out of the hands of the U.S. Government agencies. Think, for one moment. If the Warren Commission scenario were to be correct, if Lee Harvey Oswald were indeed to be a sole assassin, with no connections whatsoever with any governmental agencies, domestic or foreign -- and he, as a full-blown neurotic, for whatever reasons that even the Warren Commission never made clear or never did more than engage in official speculation upon .... If that were true, then what is the basis, the rationale, legal or otherwise, for the United States Government to withhold ANYTHING? If I come down there as a lone nut and shoot you where you are, or go to your station in New York, or if somebody comes in here and pops me off, for whatever reason, then what does that have to do with "national security"? What does that have to do with the CIA or the FBI or the relationships between the United States and Russia? It's a LONE NUT! We try "lone nut" cases in America every day. I just testified in such a murder case yesterday in an adjacent county, where one young woman stabbed another woman sixty times. Sixty times. And her defense is "diminished capacity." There is no "national security" involved there. So they have no justification for withholding this [documentation]. That's number one. Number two: Let's get it out of the hands of the United States Government. David calls for a special prosecutor, and so on. Well, that's fine, but let's watch our semantics here. And I'm sure that David would agree with me that we don't want some "special prosecutor" appointed by the President or appointed by the head of the Central Intelligence Agency or by the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Then they would just start another game. They already did that kind of thing by bringing in Blakey (as far as I'm concerned) with the House Select Committee on Assassinations. And they got away with it by playing their cards close to their vest, in attempting to foist upon the American Public ANOTHER whitewash. We get the whitewashes publicly, in the mass media news domain, from DAN RATHER and his ilk. And then we get the official whitewash from David Dellin with the Rockefeller Commission. And then we get the whitewash with Blakey and the House Select Committtee on Assassinations. So, I don't want another one of THOSE! Then we would have to start all over again and hope that maybe there'll be another "JFK"-type movie or something else that will stir the pot, ten or fifteen years down the road. So we've got to be careful when we talk about the appointment of a "special prosecutor". We've got to be VERY, VERY wary of THAT! At the present time, insofar as the physical evidence is concerned -- and I don't have time to go into it -- let me just say that it is SO confusing. David points out what the doctors at Parkland Hospital said, what the doctors, then, at Bethesda Naval Hospital, later that night, said. Where was the hole? How big was it? At this point, I'm not prepared to bet more than a quarter or a dollar on anything. One thing I do know is that what the doctors at Bethesda said is not correct -- is not honestly portrayed. I DO know that the inconsistencies are GLARING! They have not been resolved. I do know that if this went into a court of law, this case would probably be laughed out of court. It's highly questionable that it would be permitted to go to a jury. I do know that the one experiment that was ever done by the United States Government, in early 1964 at Edgewood Army Arsenal, just over in Maryland, to see whether a bullet could do what Arlen Specter said this single bullet, Warren Commission exhibit #399, the "stretcher bullet" had done; namely, to produce seven wounds in two men: two in Kennedy, five in Connally, breaking two bones in Connally and emerging nearly pristine with a total weight loss of only 1.5 percent. I do know that THEIR OWN EXPERIMENT completely TORPEDOED their theory, and that they will NOT REPEAT that experiment. I have cajoled, begged, implored, pleaded, offered to pay for it myself, used ridicule and sarcasm. Nothing works! They won't repeat that experiment. They've already got to live with the experiment that they did. You must first free your mind of delusions that have been purposefully inculcated in you by television, the corporate-owned instrument of mass sedation, and realize that it was corporate television who betrayed you with its thirty-year cover-up of the corporate CIA's murder of the last president loyal to the People of the United States. Our shadow rulers shall never again permit us to have a People's president. Each president who followed John F. Kennedy has betrayed his people as a servant of that power elite who rule us from the shadowy wings of the world stage. As I see it, the best way that you and I can successfully reap harvest from the seeds of realization that are being planted here is for all of us to join together and combine our individual strengths into one huge arm powerful enough to wield the awesome sword of the law, forged in Constitutionality, against the totalitarian forces who are subverting our Government and gradually herding us all into subjugation.
